A long time since I posted...

This post retreived from the jasonramsey.net archival vaults.

Once again - too long between postings. Things have been weird for me lately. I've had to travel to Pittsburgh, Fairfax VA, and Dallas TX for training on the many job functions I'll be responsible for here at my new job. I have nearly 10 years of background that I need to start to catch up on. I'm learning very quickly, but there's so much more to learn! Got to visit my sister during my last Fairfax trip, since she's a couple hours south in Richmond. It was an adventure, to say the least, only a few days after Hurricane Isabel had hit. Much of the city was without power, most without water. Plus I got sort of sick on the second day I was visiting. We still had a lot of fun though!

New TV season, new hockey season, new football season! Yay! Some of the shows I've been watching are all on the WB... So I watch the same shows as people 10 years younger than me, so sue me! Everwood and Gilmore Girls are excellent shows. Also good this year- Survivor! (Go Rupert!) A new one on CBS called "Joan of Arcadia", which I'm still deciding if it's worth watching, and of course Sunday nights on NBC- American Dreams.

Red Wings are going to dominate the NHL, although here's to hoping that Cujo finds a home that's a little nicer than the Wings were to him. He deserved better. And, knowing what it's like to want to leave to better your prospects, I'm staying loyal to Sergei Fedorov with the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. If the Wings can't pull it off, I'll be rooting for the Ducks!

Being from Detroit, we will not speak of the NFL season, once again.

I bought a new laptop. I promise that, there will be wedding and honeymoon pictures up soon, AND, that anyone who has not gotten a thank-you card will be getting theirs soon as well.

Will this be my new car? Let's hope Ford gets its act in gear, and offers a competitive hybrid in 18 months.
