Weighing in on domestic spying

I've heard a lot of people saying that President Bush has authorized an invasion of our rights that is unforgiveable. I personally don't care if someone tracks the calls I make. I work with enough database systems and other technology to know that if someone really wants to get that information, they'll get it.

The big question I'm not hearing enough is if it is LEGAL for George Bush to know who I'm calling. I have the opportunity to look at a lot of confidential data at work. It's my job. If I tell anyone, ever, about that confidential data, I should be fired. Period. And I've signed documents accepting that as my fate, should I ever be so stupid as to not follow the law.

It's funny, but I remember George Bush the president-elect pledging before God and the American people to uphold the constitution (oath of office... pesky thing that is, having to stick by words you say...) George Bush is either just pretending to be a sincere Christian, or he has purjored himself before his Creator and the American people. (I lean towards the former... nothing proves better how gullible a majority of voters are...) Either way, he's doing a real number on us for the two and a half more years he has left in office.
