Wings win the cup!
The Wings won the Campbell cup at least. But, isn't the Eastern Conference the minor leagues? And Pittsburgh??? Don't you mean, the Kansas City Penguins? Or Las Vegas? Or Kitchener-Waterloo? (Heck, if they were ever the KW Penguins, I'd root for them. Give Jim Balsillie his franchise already, NHL!)
I've been rooting for the Pens to get to the cup all this time, to give the kiddies a chance to shine and to throw poor Pittsburgh a bone. (And because the Flyers, well, they just stink.) But now the gloves... are... off.

You know... last night I had a dream I bought the baby a penguin's jersey... but all the names were of the Steeler's players. Probably because I don't know the names of any of the Penguins players.

That would be Pittsburgh for you... I'll bet there are folks who show up to Civic Arena, or whatever they're calling that hunk of junk these days, with Ben Roethlisberger jerseys, drinkin' their "Irn City". It's a good thing they've minimized any possible confusion, by making every "major" sports team have the same colors. That way, drunken Pittsburghian's can spill beer or Pepsi on one another while they stagger about town trying to figure out what event they're actually trying to get to (and lord knows, ending up on the Blue Belt, Orange Belt, or something called the Sahth Side) and when they get there, they won't have been far off in their wardrobe selection.
Pittsburgh is the national equivalent of a tuxedo print t-shirt.

Well at least Pittsburgh is a city, as opposed to abandoned buildings and endless suburbs named after cars.
