(Note from the author - I recently came across a way to reach back and grab my updates from version 1, 2, and 3 of my non-blog formatted websites dating back to 2000... I plan to repost these articles, with minor edits as necessary, allowing for changes in acceptability in posting content. (When information has been expunged, it will be noted accordingly.)

Once your name is taken as a .com it makes you think. I noticed that jasonramsey.com was taken, so I thought I better become one of at least the three "original" jasonramsey's out there. (I thought I corner the market too, so jasonramsey.org is mine as well... Sorry if that's your name.)

I registered with Dreamhost. They'll register a domain for $30 a year, and then park it for $2.50/month. I've used this service since about February of 2000, mainly for e-mail. They've been pretty good. I shy away from free services, since you really do get what you pay for.

Quick catching up-- I've been working for Stargate for what seems like an extremely long time... I've been here since March of 1999, doing technical support and customer service. I live in Edinboro, so that I'm half way between work and my girlfriend. I graduated from Allegheny College in the summer of 1998. Before that, I lived in Warren Ohio, Oil City and Butler Pennsylvania, and way way back.... Royal Oak Michigan. (Although if you remember me from my kindergarten years, more power to you...) I'm really terrible at keeping in touch, but if you knew me from one of those places and want to drop me a line, feel free.
