Merry Christmas!

This post retreived from the jasonramsey.net archival vaults.

Phew... long time- no updates. Trip to Florida to see my family went well, though quite cold. 34 degrees one morning! Can't win. Plus US Airways, in their eminent wisdom, delayed their flight to pick us up from Buffalo, caught the problem and transferred us to Northwest. We got to Florida an hour late by way of Detroit Metro. Our bags did not, they came the next day. Perils of flying, but with the holiday season upon us, I guess I'm glad it wasn't worse.

Got a Creative Nomad from my parents, but they didn't get the jukebox version. (I forgot there was more than one version.) Hopefully, they won't flinch at the higher price tag when they return the one they got for the one I want. 6GB worth of mp3 space, it will hold 150 music CD's and I will be in musical bliss driving back and forth from work!

Visited my dad's new office at Merrill Lynch. Slick. It's like the cockpit of financial information. Streaming video on three channels at his fingertips...

Results of the great grudgematch between Link and Pikachu. (with Samus of Metroid as a third party):
Free-for-all battle won by Link, head-to-head tournament won by Pikachu. I guess that's a draw?

Also got to visit my girlfriend's family today. Both her mom and dad got engaged on the same day to different people. Weird but true. I was also licked on the hand by Tiffany's cousin. Weird but true.

Creepy

This post retreived from the jasonramsey.net archival vaults.

1. Creepy. I know there's a lot of Jason Ramseys out there, but so close to home? Who knew I was such a Beastie Boys and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan? (I didn't even know people still like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.) For those of you who haven't figured out, this is not me.

2. Not getting a new apartment now... My landlord gave me a six month extension on my lease, so I don't have to move until July! Woo-hoo! (Wasn't looking forward to the snow and moving at the same time...)

3. Ryan at work seems to think that Pikachu can't hold his own in a battle against the legendary Link from the Zelda adventures. My pokedex seems to say that pokemon of the electric type do very well against fair-haired wussy boys wearing green running around saving princesses or whatever. This may come to a battle soon...
