Finally a weekly update...

This post retreived from the jasonramsey.net archival vaults.

Alright! Getting a weekly update going here finally. This week was a fairly grueling one. Nothing new really though, at work or at home. I've been spending a lot of time relistening to the early solo works of the ex-Beatles. Buying a TURNTABLE was a great investment. I suddenly have three LP boxes full of music I haven't listened to in years.

My top five relistened-to songs:

Single Pigeon - Wings - Red Rose Speedway
Beware Of Darkness - George Harrison - All Things Must Pass
Let It Roll - George Harrison - All Things Must Pass
That Would Be Something - Paul McCartney - McCartney
Dark Horse - George Harrison - Dark Horse

I actually went out and bought 2 new CD's. All Things Must Pass is obviously something I've been relistening to on CD now, instead of LP. My LP is such bad shape I had to get the CD. Erasure's "Other People's Songs" I just got because of the remake of Peter Gabriel's Solsbury Hill. There are some other remakes on there that are definitely worth a listen if you like light electronic music or techno.

Version 2.0 is here

This post retreived from the jasonramsey.net archival vaults.

Time for a new design to the page. Stole a couple of ideas, including the whole "style-sheet" method, only three years after everyone else has been using it... Hobbies kind of go in slow motion when you're so busy with everything else. The icon bar on the right is something I've always wanted to do, and it finally came together on this redesign. Yes -- I finally relented and went with tables instead of those gawd-awful frames. Yes, it's still FrontPage designed. It is lame. It's installed on my computer. I know how to use it. No preformatting or wizards though, I promise! (Would it look this good if I had used them?)

Work has been particularly busy lately. Lots of stuff going on. Some of it good, some of it a little stressful. All of it for the better.

Recent adventures:
  • Visiting Meadville to plan wedding stuff

  • Going back the following week with my best (wo)man to reminisce about Allegheny College

  • Driving to Buffalo to register. Tim Horton's, oh why can't you come south to Erie and supply me your life-giving beverage and cake donut paradise.
  • Knowledge Worker Task Force -- Erie local government. More 20 somethings need to get involved in their communities...

Krispy-Kreme Donuts are for suckers.

I'll be posting some wedding stuff up shortly. I'll keep you posted!
