Back from DC

This post retreived from the jasonramsey.net archival vaults.

Back from Fairfax VA for the last time for a while. I always enjoy visiting, but.. well... Note the picture to the left to see why I think people who live in that area are NUTS. It took me 45 minutes to drive 6 miles in Fairfax during rush hour.

Check out the new link on the right too. (Yes, it's the Swedish Chef from the Muppets, one of my all-time favorite TV personalities...) I've decided to start posting some of my classic recipes. They may not be AMAZING meals... Okay - I think they're amazing, but the reason I'm posting them is that all of them are relatively easy to make. If you can master recipes like the ones I'm posting, you can move on from there and be a very functional cook!

We had 60mph winds and a 14 foot storm surge on Lake Erie while I was gone. The good news is that the rest of the leaves were raked (or blown) into the corner of our yard - I guess Fall 2003 is officially over!

Something important to say...

This post retreived from the jasonramsey.net archival vaults.

Wow. A posting after only two days. I found something important to say. If you are a frequent visitor of this site, you may have noticed a new banner in the rotation. To save you the suspense, click here. I'm not in a position where I feel that my political positions will offend my staff, since I don't have one anymore. Are you really happy with the last three years? I'm sure as heck not. Frankly, I'd prefer a president who doesn't like to play Maverick and Goose with our tax dollars.

Oh, by the way, a patriotic blog to read!

Nothing much...

This post retreived from the jasonramsey.net archival vaults.

I'd post, but there really isn't a whole lot to say right now. Things are stable. Life is good, for now. It's funny, but I don't think that my pseudo-blog is really worth updating. (For those who don't already know, "blog" refers to the current fad of posting life events on the Internet for everyone to see. I call mine a "pseudo-blog" since I just text edit the whole thing, instead of using a software-based solution. Maybe if I get time someday I'll do something more involved. Probably not.) Just keep checking back and I promise that if anything newsworthy happens, I'll keep this site updated as best I can.

Sorry, time to go back to real life again, I may post later this month, especially since I'm travelling back to Fairfax VA soon, and I tend to be very bored on the road. It's an excuse for me to brandish my brand new laptop!
